Sample Catchers
The role of the Sample Catcher is to provide the Mud Logger with a representative collection of mud samples and cuttings and help the Mud Logger to maintain all the installed Mud logging equipment around the rig.
He/She assists the Mud logger, Data Engineer or Mud Logging Technician during rig-up and rig-down operations of the Mud Logging Unit and Equipment.
Mudlogger Technicians
The Mud Logger provides geological surveillance for well site drilling, analyzing and documenting rock cuttings. In the absence of a Data Engineer, they communicate with service company employees, drilling contractors, and the client.
They inform and advise about operational events affecting drilling. They also monitor drilling activities and unexpected well behavior to minimize risks and environmental damage.
Data Engineers
The Data Engineer ensures accurate measurement and recording of Mud logging data at the wellsite. They inform drilling crew and clients of operational events impacting drilling/work-over operations.
The Data Engineer monitors activities, reports unexpected well behavior promptly, minimizing risks and environmental damage. They provide real-time data interpretation and services using mud logging data.
Wellsite Geologist
The Wellsite Geologist’s role is to supervise surface mud logging and downhole logging data acquisition operations and be responsible for the geological formation evaluation by providing geological wellsite interpretation and analysis of the acquired surface mud logging & downhole logging data.
The Wellsite Geologist, also assists the drilling supervisor by sharing the interpreted data in order to inform about the formation being drilling, promoting drilling efficiency, well control & cost control.
